Here is My Question:
If you get a lumbar puncture for a diagnosis of MS do you have to be in a relapse for it to be positive for O bands? Or would it be positive if you were in remission?
Spinal fluid Oligoclonal bands are present at all times once formed. The amount formed may fluctuate over time and with certain treatments but they tend not to disappear.
