Here is My Question:
I am about to begin a new job in a hospital, they are requiring me to have a tdaP vaccine as condition of employment. I have RRMS, is it safe to take the tdap? I am mostly concerned about the pertussis part of the vaccine. Thank you.
The tetanus/diptheria/pertussis (tdaP) vaccine is not a live viral vaccine. MS patients have not experienced any unusual or unique problems with this vaccine and it is particularly important for health care workers and pregnant women. It should only be avoided if you experienced a bad reaction to the vaccine in the past.
