Question:
I have noticed swollen lymph nodes in my armpits and groin since starting Copaxone almost 3 months ago. Can Copaxone cause swollen lymph nodes? Is this a common side effect? If so, anything that can or should be done to help? Answer: Copaxone sometimes causes swelling of draining lymph nodes. THis is rarely a problem unless painful. There have been some case reports of cancerous swelling of lymph nodes in people on Copaxone but it is not at all clear that there is a causal relationship. There is nothing to do about the swollen lymph nodes except stopping the Copaxone. I have 3 swallon lymphnodes that hurt on occasion and the don't go away is this a cause of my copaxone. I notice my first one about a month ago and at that time I ran out of my copaxone so I wasn't on it but when I got back on it another onemail had appeared like after the 3 injection.

I have swollen lymph nodes on either side of my groin is this from copaxone blood tests came back clear and I had a scan that they said there was nothing they could see that was dangerous but that the swelling was definitely reactive I’m thinking about coming off copaxone! Comments are closed.
